In order to physically “put” your web site on the internet, you will need web space where your site will be stored. This is an ongoing, but affordable annual cost which we can arrange on your behalf, choosing a suitable hosting package for your project. We choose only the most reliable hosting companies whose high capacity servers are connected to the Internet 24 hours a day, ensuring maximum uptime and the ability to cope with high numbers of visitors connecting at any one time.
Domain Name Registration
A domain name is the address of your web site and will be used to submit your site to the major search engines. It can be registered for between 1 and 10 years. It is advisable to choose a short, memorable name, which is preferably related to your business.
Domain names are registered in your name using your supplied postal address. You will receive Confirmation of Registration in writing from Nominet - it is important that this document is kept safe by you, as you will need to renew your ownership before the expiry date to protect the name. A renewal reminder will automatically be sent to your address and we would be happy to arrange renewal on your behalf - simply contact us at the time.
Ongoing Website Maintenance
Upon completion of a website project, we remain available for Aftersales Service. You may wish to add new information or updates once your site has been up and running for a few months. It is advisable to have your website optimised every few months or so, as new sites are continually being submitted. We offer these services on a quote basis for a reasonable and affordable set hourly rate.
